How we compare machines
We haven't tested these machines; we compare published specs and official guidance. We never say we've used, fired or cut with a machine.
Where our specs come from
Every machine spec on Lindenmaker, such as power, maximum temperature, chamber size, bed size, hoop size or stitch speed, comes from the maker's official UK product page or manual. We record the page and the date we checked it, and you'll see "Spec checked" with that date on every machine page.
We don't take specs from retailer listings, forums or memory. If we can't find a spec on the maker's own page, we leave it out.
Where our safety advice comes from
Safety points come only from official or standards bodies: HSE, the Office for Product Safety and Standards, Electrical Safety First, the IET's Wiring Regulations and BSI. Machine-specific limits, such as clearances around a kiln, come from the maker's manual.
What we compare on
Every comparison says at the top what we compared, and every heading that names a "best" machine says why. For kilns, that's things like maximum temperature, chamber size, the supply it needs, the controller and the warranty, as each maker states them.
Prices
Prices come only from makers' own UK stores or official affiliate feeds, with the date checked. We never scrape prices and never show fake discounts.
Spotted something out of date?
Makers change specs. Tell us and we'll check it against the maker's page. See our corrections policy.
